Spring Arrivals By Melissa Helmer

This week I framed a small clay sculpture in a shadow box.  I replaced broken glass on a print and repaired  the frame.  I stretched and framed a silk scarf.  I framed a vacation  photo.  I dry mounted a 40 x50 map.  I framed an original watercolor.  I framed and installed 3 original panels for a local church.  I  delivered and hung a local artist show in a local business.  I framed an antique, hand-drawn map of Lodi.

There will be more fun projects to come for next week.

You just never know what wonderful  things people will bring in to have preserved in a custom frame.

This week I framed an original photo and an original oil painting by two local artists.  I framed a needlework sampler and a Farmers’ Market poster.  I also framed a Washington D.C. class trip photo and a third graders student art creation.   I framed a sheet of postage stamps and a family portrait.  I  am working on a magazine article and a Brewers memorabilia pennant.

Let’s see what next week brings.
